Meet Sherryl York! Sherryl is a retired nurse from St. Luke’s who sewed her little heart out making hundreds of masks during the Covid-19 pandemic, where in the beginning especially, masks were very hard to come by and in high demand. We know there were hundreds of people sewing masks in the Treasure but Sherryl was the very first to contact United Way of Treasure Valley to ask how her mask making might tie into our work in the arena of health. Her masks went to local nurses and doctors to help keep them safe. Thank you for your time, talent, and generosity, Sherryl! It takes a community to come together to take care of one in another in times such as this. We are so glad you’re in ours!
