Talk to us about being on the Campaign Cabinet. What motivated you to want to get involved?
In my life, I’ve had the great fortune of living in many different places. And unfortunately, there has always been a consistent need for some sort of help in each community. A lot of people truly struggle daily. So, to me, it’s about giving back to my community. It’s about investing time to make our communities better one step at a time.
There are so many ways to give back and be involved with charitable organizations. Why do you choose United Way of Treasure Valley?
I’m still fairly new to the Treasure Valley but I’ve consistently heard United Way’s name being mentioned. I was impressed by United Way’s presence and reputation within the community. And once I started talking to United Way, I was amazed to see just how many different categories this organization focuses on but particularly the focuses on education, financial stability, and health. I think those 3 focuses are critical to a community’s success so United Way seemed like a great fit.
Tell us a little about your role with your organization and what you do. If you’re retired, tell us about your work history.
In a nutshell, my role as General Manager, is to oversee the day-to-day operations at Boise Towne Square to ensure that it’s a safe, clean, and secure environment for our customers and tenants.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids. I’m grew up in Chicago and am an avid Chicago sports fan. Although my favorite football team is the Packers and no, that’s not a typo. Lastly, we’re a big travelling family and we love to visit many new places.
