For the next couple of weeks, we'll be featuring staff members and a special memory about their favorite books. We hope you'll stop by each day for a new story!

When my brother, sister, and I were young, we were obsessed with the way our dad read One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. We’d all sit on the floor with such anticipation, knowing all the fun that was in store, and he’d start off with the first line…
”From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere.”
He’d start out rhythmic and slow.
But as the pages turned and the rhymes unfolded, he’d pick up the pace.
…fast, faster, faster, FASTER, LOUDER…until he was talking so fast and so loud he’d get tongue-tied and trip all over his words! My brother, sister, and I would roll around the floor in fits of laughter, anticipating the next great rhyme. Each tongue twisting tale was funnier than the last!
And by the end of the book, all would be calm once more.
We must’ve begged my dad to read that book 100 times growing up. It’s still one of my happiest memories.
