Meet Beth Toal, Campaign Cabinet Chair!

We are so excited to introduce you to the very first member of our brand new United Way Campaign Cabinet! Beth Toal is the Chair of this year’s Cabinet and has also served on the board since 2016. We had a chance to sit down to talk with her about her involvement not only with United Way, but with our community!

Tell us about being on the Campaign Cabinet . What motivated you to want to get involved?
I was born and raised in the Treasure Valley and I have the benefit of raising my children here. I am grateful for all this community has to offer and I want to ensure that this great quality of life is available for generations to come. Our United Way of Treasure Valley is an exceptional organization. Participating on the Campaign Cabinet is one way I can do my part to help secure the resources the United Way needs to do what it does best – help people.

There are so many ways to give back and be involved with charitable organizations. Why do you choose United Way of Treasure Valley?
I believe in the United Way – their focus, their commitment to collaboration, their willingness to tackle hard things, and most of all, their outstanding results.

Tell us a little about your role with your organization and what you do!
I’ve been a proud member of the St. Luke’s team for 20 years. My current position is Vice President of Communications & Marketing. I lead an exceptional team focused in the following areas:
Communications & Content
Marketing (which includes our signature event, FitOne)
Public Relations
Digital – website and intranet
Community Engagement
Community Health

What you hope to achieve while being on the Cabinet?
The work United Way of Treasure Valley does on behalf of local children and families is fueled by the financial support of our community. Working in partnership with the exceptional UWTV team, the focus of the Campaign Cabinet is to increase the dollars we’re able to invest in programs and services through donations to the Community Fund and through sponsorship support of key UWTV events. Through supporting existing donor relationships and fostering new ones, we hope to exceed our goal of raising $2.1 million dollars for the Community Fund and generating more than $100,000 in sponsorship support so that UWTV can serve more children and more families in need living in our community.

What are you doing when you’re not working at St. Luke’s or helping us over at United Way?
My husband Mike and I love spending time with our kids. We enjoy hosting gatherings for friends and family and spending weekends in McCall.

Check back Friday to meet another member of our prestigious Campaign Cabinet!
